A. Daily, 10am–5pm
Public Tours at the Chicago Cultural Center
Q. When are public tours at the Chicago Cultural Center?
A. Thursdays and Fridays at 1:15 pm.
Q. Where do I meet to start my tour.
A. Meet in the Welcome Center near the Randolph Street entrance.
Q. What is the maximum number of visitors allowed on a tour?
A. 25 people.
Q. Do I need to register in advance for public tours?
A. No. Participation is first come first served.
Q. What time should I come to assure that space is available in a public tour?
A. It is recommended that visitors arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the public tour.
Q. Can we take a self-guided tour?
A. During regular building hours a Visitor Guide is available in the lobbies to help you get the most out of your visit. A self guided tour is on the back.
Q. Do I need to register in advance for a self-guided tour?
A. No. But if you are a large group, you will be asked to complete a visitor registration form upon arrival if you have not already pre-registered online.
Private Tours at the Chicago Cultural Center
Q. Who should request a private tour?
A. Groups between 10-25 people in size who can not attend a public tour.
Q. When are private tours available for the Chicago Cultural Center?
A. Fridays at 10:30 and 2:30
Q. Do I need to register in advance for a private docent led tour?
A. Yes
Q. How much advance notice is needed to request a private docent led tour?
A. 4 – 6 weeks are needed to assure that a docent is available for your group.
Exhibition Exploration at the Chicago Cultural Center
Q. What is an Exhibition Exploration?
A. An engaging experience for students and their teachers to explore the building and the ever changing Visual Arts Exhibitions.
Q. When are Exhibition Explorations available at the Chicago Cultural Center?
A. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 and 12.
Q. Is advance registration required for Exhibition Exploration?
A. Yes.
