Outdoor Tours

Outdoor walking public art tours of the Millennium Park Campus (not a virtual tour)

Public Tours for all will be held at 12:00 noon on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, April - early November.

Social distancing and masks required.

Limited to 15 people.  Advanced registration required.

The docent led tour will last 45-60 minutes, covering a distance of approximately one-half mile. Docent will provide brief information about 7 works of public art and the artists that created them. Tour begins on the Randolph Street steps outside the Chicago Cultural Center.  Tour ends outside the Chicago Cultural Center on Garland Court. 

Highlights include 6 sculptures and one mural. Visitors begin with Richard Hunt's steel sculpture, We Will. Tour moves across the street to view sculptures in Millennium Park by Edra Soto, Christine Tarkowski, Jaume Plensa's Crown Fountain and of course, Anish Kapoor's Cloud Gate, affectionately known as "The Bean".  Tour returns to the Chicago Cultural Center to view Nathan Mason's Bronze Cow and finally to Garland Court with Kerry James Marshall's mural, Rushmore.
